April ArtWalk Highlights

1. Museum of Moab
Around 2009 a group of us took lessons from master pastelist JC Borders. The class evolved into an informal weekly gathering where we painted together, shared techniques, offered mutual support, and critiqued each other’s work. We are the Moab Pastel Guild.

2. Moab Arts & Recreation Center, the MARC
Enjoy an epic display of oil paintings from local artist Elizabeth Quagliaroli. "...Whatever portrayed, I am in love. At my final brush strokes, I struggle to say goodbye. Saddened to end this love affair, I sign and date it, and I stop."

3. Moonflower Community Cooperative
Karen Chatham likes to draw attention to the amazing forms, color combinations, surfaces, and designs found in nature and preserve in some way the visual and emotional experience of naturally occurring beauty. As found in nature each piece of her art has a very unique and individual look.

4. Art Walk Stop: CommuniTea Garden
Come see Dre Carman's installations at Resiliency Hub's garden! Carman is a local upcycle artist who makes meaningful creations from found materials. This location is new to the art walk, and shows permaculture design in action.

5. Moab Valley Multicultural Center/Centro Multicultural
Visit the Multicultural Mural! Free audio tours and learning activities. Learn about important social justice leaders painted by local artists! Receive your stamp and get more info about Moab Valley Multicultural Center at the CommuniTea Garden.
