Stroll Moab’s galleries, shops, and cafés and view fine locally created, Moab art. The Moab Art Walk includes featured artists and receptions. Most exhibits run for a month or more so feel free to stop in anytime at participating locations!

An event dedicated to the memory of James Schnirel, artist, art professor and father to local artist, Ben Schnirel will be a highlight of this month's Art Walk. The Overlook will feature several paintings by both Jim and Ben.

The Healing Arts Center
New drawings by Moab artist Michael Kaniecki will be featured at the Healing Arts Center during October. These large scale drawings in scroll format explore the relationship of space between bodies and more.

Moab Arts & Recreation Center
“Abbey’s Road, Words on the Land,” a photography and art exhibit honoring Ed Abbey will be on display throughout the month of October here at the MARC. Abbey’s Road is part of Confluence: A Celebration of Reading and Writing that honors Ed Abbey October 14th-19th. Also on display will be Red Rock Elementary student art work. Student produced greeting cards and calendars will also be available for purchase.

Museum of Moab
One of the largest wetland areas on the Colorado River the Matheson Preserve serves as the home to numerous species of bird, fish, reptile, and mammal. The Museum of Moab explores the formation of this refuge from the early settlement of Moab to the present day. Learn about the animals that inhabit the preserve today through the watercolors of Kathy McGill. Finally look to the future of the preserve and changes that may come.

The Western Image
